Jaco is history's most virtuosic electric bassist, no question
about it, and this tune is a classic. But I've always felt
like it was too busy, that it had too many different sections,
with too much harmonic adventure. It was like, every conceivable
thing Jaco could do with his fretless bass. My version sticks
closer to the melody, and adds some Outkast-flavored drums
and sampled gamelan orchestra.
