Feynman diagrams

Richard Feynman's formalized diagrams of particle interactions are also beautiful in their own right. Below are a set of them from Rod Nave's nifty Hyperphysics page. In these diagrams, up and down mean 'forwards in time' and 'backwards in time' respectively. Left-right indicates movement in space. In the top row, strange quarks turn into up quarks and W- particles. The W- can then turn into an electron and an electron antineutrino, or a down quark and an anti-up quark. The second row shows charm quarks transforming into strange quarks, plus assorted combinations of other particles. The third row shows bottom quarks transforming into charm quarks plus etc.
